For this blog hop I have created a card, although this is not my strength...lol. But the new stamps are so gorgeous that I decided to go out of my comfort zone (layouts & mixed media) to try. I don't like to add too much ribbons and flowers, although I always love it on other people projects lol. Hope you like my simple card...it has many layers just like I do when making mixed media :)

For this card I have used besides our new stamp Walkie Talkie, several of our dies and also a sentiment from ourVintage Affections sentiments set.

Zva Creative June Blog Hop

Zva Creative and my fellow Design Team members welcome you to our June bloghop! We are excited about it and look forward to sharing our new work with you!

For this month blog hop I have created a mix media layout. To start I have chosen some parts of my background and covered it with lace, applying a fine layer of gesso onto it. Afterwards I have using molding paste and a mask to add some texture in the white spaces and covered my background with 2 colors of mist (yellow and a very light peach).

I used paint all around the background page to create a frame (in copper).

Then was just to build the page using several paper scraps (mostly Bo Bunny and Prima) and take opportunity of Zva's great crystals to embellish it.

The pictures are from my husband when he was only 2-3 yo :)  - Cute boy! lol

This month I've tried doing something different like mixing Zva crystal colors, and guess what? I loved the result. Don't be afraid to use different colors on your layout, you can get and interest effect!

 

Here is my project, one more for my cute GD Juliana album :)

 

 



At the begining of this post you can see a close up of some crystals I have used, and here a close up from the other ones.

I mixed yellow and black crystals to add more spark to my project.

Here is my project, where I have used 3 wonderful flourishes from Zva Creative.

 

 

One tip for extra volume in your projects is to add the crystals to a paper, then cut and glue it onto your project.

This month I decided to go out of my confort zone (layouts) and share with you some cards. I am not a pro card maker, but I like to use my paper scraps to have pre made cards that I can finish when the ocasion hits, just adding a sentiment. Zva's blings add the perfect sparkle touch to our cards.

 

About a great pearl and crystal flourish, perfect size for cards! And below card, where I've added 2 pink crystals to decorate my card frame, together with Zva's cute little roses :)

Im very honored to have my term on Zva DT extended for one more year, it's been a great experience to work with such high quality and cute products :)

If this is your first time visiting here...I'm Fabi Ormerod, brazilian, close to 38 yo (february!), mom of a almost 7 years old boy (this January). My inspiration for scrapbooking comes mostly from the picture and the moment being retreated, but it could also be from a material that Im using, to which I match a picture/story to scrap about.

One of my favorite things is to create little clusters with embellishments using different materials (mixing flowers, blings, chipboard, stamped images, etc).

As it's almost 2013 I have created this layout with hidden journaling reflecting about how was my 2012 and with my next year resolutions. The flowers and blings from Zva created the perfect match to the patterned paper I have chosen and make the pictures stand out.

This is my project...
Francis and I concluded a cristian course from MMI called Married forever. It took 13 week and it inspired us a lot. For our "graduation" night, I was asked to create layouts for all couples that joinned us, as a gift so we all remember the course. And I needed to create a gift for me too - that was fun.

Here a close up on the lovely bling I used. I have added it close to the heart, to give motion to the page and to add the "feeling" that the heart was flying...something like that!

Here is a close up of this gorgeous flourish...as you'll notice, I separated it to create several pearl flourishes, but this was mainly to adapt it to the round shape I wanted. It is cute to use all together too!!!!
